VIEWING GUIDELINES
Once downloaded, HHC Digital should open automatically in Adobe Acrobat Reader, which should be pre-installed on pretty much any computer bought since the 5 1/4" floppy disc BBC Micro days. If you don't have it, click here to get in the game.

HHC Digital is designed to be read comfortably on your computer screen - and looks swelligant if you hit the 'Full Screen' button in Acrobat - but you can also print it out to read on the train/bus/toilet. It'll also work on your iPhone or lesser-branded mobile communications device - and we'll have an optimised version coming soon.

We recommend using Firefox to download it (available here), though there shouldn't be any problems using your browser of choice.

Down With The King: This week, there was heartening news for anyone missing hip-hop’s early-’90s fixation with pyramids, pharaohs and all things Egyptian as Kanye West visited the Tutankhamun exhibition in Times Square. Down With The King: Just when you thought hip-hop had paid its last tributes to Michael Jackson, Redman came off the wall with his new video − although The King of Pop was surely pirouetting in his grave as Reggie bigged up his own Argyle socks over MJ’s trademark sequinned [...]

HHC Digital’s online rap round-up…

Above The Clouds: In the wake of Guru’s tragic passing, the web was inevitably awash with tributes, the most significant and sincere coming from Guru’s brother Harry and a typically nimble-wristed Premo, who also broke his silence on Guru’s controversial cohort Solar. Dusting off a classic Gang Starr instrumental, [...]

Pop champagne like we won The Championship: Proving that his bank account goes considerably deeper than his knowledge of English football, Diddy threw his name into the bidding for beleaguered Crystal Palace. And lest you think that Mr Combs simply wants to bring Sean John tracksuits to Selhurst Park, apparently [...]

‘Counterstrike: The Unkut Dot Com Mixtape’

Share

Just shy of 20 tracks of full-on underground New York goodness, the Jamesons-quaffing chaps over at Unkut have just dropped a modern mixtape that’s actually worth listening to. Hosted by the inimitable Doo Wop, and featuring verses and production by Kool G Rap, Capone, Milano, Sid Roams and the recently deceased Killa Sha, let’s just [...]

Pazz & Jop: All Rapped Up

Every year the Village Voice poll a huge range of music writers and critics for their top ten favourite albums and singles of the year and then tally the votes up into one mammoth list. This time around, Animal Collective’s ‘Merriweather Post Pavillion’ took the top long-playing spot and Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State Of Mind’ nabbed [...]

“Any title for a girl you can believe I own it”, rapped Roxanne Shante back in the day, but this week she fessed up to fibbing about having a phD. Call us cynics, but we’re beginning to wonder if she’s really a fully accredited Supreme Highness Almighty Noble Topics Exponent.

Mystro ‘Mess I Ever Had’ (Flip Of Drake’s ‘Best…’)

Blowing up in-boxes yesterday, Mystro’s flip of Drake’s ‘Best I Ever Had’ into the cheeky ‘Mess I Ever Had’ has emerged as pretty much the week’s most essential track. Pulled from ‘The Standard’, a project mixed by Shortee Blitz to be available on Monday from here, you can check Mys-Diggy’s version by clicking here. Now [...]
