Once downloaded, HHC Digital should open automatically in Adobe Acrobat Reader, which should be pre-installed on pretty much any computer bought since the 5 1/4" floppy disc BBC Micro days. If you don't have it, click here to get in the game.

HHC Digital is designed to be read comfortably on your computer screen - and looks swelligant if you hit the 'Full Screen' button in Acrobat - but you can also print it out to read on the train/bus/toilet. It'll also work on your iPhone or lesser-branded mobile communications device - and we'll have an optimised version coming soon.

We recommend using Firefox to download it (available here), though there shouldn't be any problems using your browser of choice.

dEbruit’s 3D Bump-Hop Revolution

Having migrated from France to set up base in London, producer-on-the-rise dEbruit is now looking to take his patented bump-hop sound worldwide. But be forewarned: his super slick sound is best enjoyed with the use of 3D glasses…

Where does the name dEbruit come from? And what’s the significance of the capital E in the middle of it?
“The name dEbruit is a made up name from French words: ‘bruit’ is noise in French and ‘dé” in front would mean the opposite of noise. The capital E is there ‘cos normally it’s an E with an accent going up, it changes the pronunciation, but in French the accented “É” is softer than a normal E and makes the pronunciation sound like ‘debris’ which is what it all ties into and refers to!

“It’s like breaking glass but instead of it making just noise when it breaks, it makes a sweet sound. It’s debris as samples, like out of broken glass you could reconstruct a different shape and that’s my sweet sound!

Why did you decide to move from France to London?
“For different reasons really. First, my music got more exposure over here and then Civil Music, the people I work with, are based in London. The music scene here is very creative and there is really a lot of stuff to catch and good energy that fits my way of living and making music.”

What’s the biggest cultural difference between France and the UK?
“I would say the food and drink culture is very much different; the music scene and the clubs too. Hard to find really good bread and cheap good wine but not hard to find lots of amazing music going on!”

You’ve released online videos that require the use of ’80s-style 3D glasses to get the best out of them. How did that idea come about?
“It comes from a friend called Rainbowmonkey. He’s an amazing graphic designer. He was doing 3D visuals so when we spoke about him doing the sleeve’s artwork it made a lot of sense to go 3D. It really fits well with my music too – something disturbing, deep, with a strong impact and a fun approach to it.”

Do the dEbruit glasses work in the cinema with the film Aavatar?!
“The dEbruit 3D glasses work with anything as long as you are ready to be surprised and believe strongly in the spirit of the new spine funk injection device that my music delivers when you pass the first gear on that fat hip-hop engine I created!”

Describe the dEbruit sound Twitter style in 140 characters or less…
“dEbruit sound is a slap that feels good, it’s groovy 2 an exquisite extreme, it hits the right pressure points 2 disconnect & reconnect any listeners nervous system in a neck breaking fashion.”

What’s the funniest or most inaccurate way you’ve seen your music described?
“Most inaccurate is definitely “w***y”. The funniest, I don’t know… I’ve made so many style names up recently, there must be some funny ones in there – I’ve been using these ones for fun: Bump-hop, Glitch-funk, African roll, Ouest Coast hip-hop, Mezoued old school, Friendly gangsta, Fungle, Skrewed highlife, High rev boom, World-electro, traditional blap and futuristic French b-boy.”

How did the hook up with Om’Mas from Sa-Ra come about?
“We were both part of a music lab experiment called Red Bull Music Academy in Barcelona in Spain. Om’Mas had his studio in the building. I produced that track ‘I’m Goin’ Wit You’ and when I brought it to him, he really felt it so he decided to do vocals – he came up with this great result. The collaboration was all magic really; a fresh post-funk, future soul kind of vibe.”

Do you have any plans to work with rappers in the future? If so, can you reveal any names?
“Oh yeah, I’m stepping on your territory! There are names I can’t reveal but I have to say it is pretty big. Enough to say that everyone knows his name! Ha ha, sorry it’s a secret still!

“Recently, I’ve been doing more production for vocalists and emcees. I’ve been asked several times to submit tracks to people like Missy Elliott, or for Lil Wayne’s label. I have been working with Eric Solo and 215TFK Cerebral Vortex and Buddy Leezle but that next secret thing I can’t reveal might be a really good kick in the door of the major league producers. I mean, I don’t have any feeling of inferiority or superiority to any big producers, but if I would be given the opportunity I’ll just turn up with the energy and creativity that is the result of me having fun producing with surprising elements catching either ears, feet, mind and booties.”

If money was no object, who would be the ultimate rapper to appear on a dEbruit production?
“There are so many people I want to work with, but one thing that is getting rare on a mainstream level nowadays is someone who has all three of talent, flow and lyrics. If I would be given the opportunity to work with somebody like Q-Tip I think I could do something amazing with him.”

What music do you have planned for release for the rest of 2010?
“A lot! An album, some collabos with singers and rappers. I already dropped two records in 2010, the first one, ‘Spatio Temporel’, is on 3D 12″ and is a trip through Nigerian highlife, Persian funk and kalimba thumb pianos all with my hip-hop engine! It sold out in a week and is getting repressed as we speak. The second one is a charity EP for Haiti sampling music from there and giving it my treatment. All the proceeds go to UNICEF’s Haiti Earthquake Children’s Appeal – you can donate what you want and then download.

“Other than that there’s remixes for many people including Rusko, Black Devil Disco and more all about to drop and also a very special one for someone who you all will know as the originator of dub reggae… I’m sorry, again I can’t say any more right now! The rest of 2010 is gonna continue on that speed.”

Finally, do you have any interest in this summer’s football World Cup? If so, who do you tip to win it?

“Oh yes, of course, I’m a big football fan, and as a fan of the French team I obviously see us going far!”
