Mic King & Chum ‘Flavor Ade’

Mic King & Chum
‘Flavor Ade’
Mic King says: “In the age of ‘hipster rap’ and overrated media darlings, we bring fun music to the table that doesn’t include awful lyrics. This album is very much proof that your raps don’t have to suck in order for everyone to have fun. The song that has the most value to me is ‘Run For Your Life’ because it was my soundtrack to the half-marathon I ran in January to raise money for Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis. After that I’d say ‘Snake Oil’ with Slug because it was cool to finally do a joint with an emcee that has been an influence on what I do.”
We say: Mic King’s battle rap background is complimented by guest spots from Elzhi and Slug, and with Chum’s beats keeping it varied throughout (there’s a new jack swing cut!), ‘Flavor Ade’ is a decent enough distraction, if never something to truly get excited about.
