All The News That’s Fit To Link…

HHC Digital’s weekly online news round-up…
By Richard Watson
Who got the juice? Styles P, apparently, as the D-Blocker dropped nutritional gems live from his local juice bar. Meanwhile, over at Hollis Famous Burgers, the air was thick with jubilation (and fried onions, probably) as local lad DMC brought back the silverware. That’s Run DMC’s Hall of Fame Award, not some cutlery he’d nicked.
Beef was also on the menu for Joe Budden (no, really), who responded to a dis track from Inspectah Deck by clicking into passive-aggressive mode, praising Deck’s contributions to hip-hop while basically calling him a washed up old fart. By contrast, a back-in-biz Ja Rule was in aggressive-aggressive mode, warning haters that, “You got about 60 to 90 days, then I’ma put my dick in your mouth.” Whatever his faults, Jeffrey’s definitely a forward planner.
Giving peace a chance over in Amsterdam, Black Milk laughed off a demented white fan’s slew of N-bombs – who’s up for a whip-round to buy this chap a plane ticket to Detroit? In other Euro news, The Game dissed Jay-Z in Bordeaux before becoming the latest rapper, after Ice Cube and Common, to be linked to the role of BA Baracus in the A-Team movie. Has Hollywood not heard of Biz Markie, then?
Jayceon’s nemesis Mr Carter was named the world’s richest rapper, while the Jigga-fronted Rocawear hooked up with Mattel for a range of Barbie Dolls. Sasha from the edgier, market-leading Bratz crew was unimpressed, however, dismissing their rival’s new gear as “Soooo 2002” and “out like Amil.”
Finally, in the week’s biggest story, Naughty by Nature’s Vinnie took time out from incessantly shilling for Microsoft to hint that the crew’s reunion LP might find him getting his Auto-Tune on. No word yet on which computer company’s operating system Vin Rock will be using to fire up the software.
